UNITED POWER COMPANY JSC was registered on 12th April 2002 in the form of a closed joint-stock company as a part of the Decree of the Government of St. Petersburg for centralized solving a broad complex of issues in the sphere of electrical power engineering in St. Petersburg and Leningradskaya oblast. In 2006 by the resolution of the general meeting of shareholders the company was reorganized into UNITED POWER COMPANY JSC (UPC JSC).
One of the main UPC JSC’s shareholders is St. Petersburg via a certified company, Saint-Petersburg electrical grids (SPb ES JSC).
